Our operations manager, Carolyne, gave birth this morning to a baby girl! Her name is Ivy and we can’t wait to meet her. Carolyne has been such a sport throughout her pregnancy and was working hard even up until yesterday afternoon when she started experiencing some stomach pains. Luckily we have hired someone to take her position while she is away on maternity leave. Stay tuned for a profile of our newest staff member as well as pics of baby Ivy!

Today we had a goodbye breakfast with our amazing team of Spring interns.
We are so thankful for each one of you and for the ways you served 31 Bits this semester! Thank you for all of the hard work and creativity you brought to the 31 Bits family! We love you guys!!!

Our Livelihoods Project Manager, Gladies, has been working tirelessly for the past couple months training to become an HIV/AIDS counselor through a local organization called, The Aids Support Organization (TASO). She is now finished with the course and is being monitored twice a week on her counseling skills and has almost completed her hours.
We are so proud of her hard work and are excited for our beneficiaries to reap the benefits of her training.
Gladies also helped us to establish a partnership with TASO in which we are accepting a handful of their clients into our program and in exchange they will treat our beneficiaries, who are suffering from HIV/AIDS, as their clients. Our ladies will benefit very much from this partnership as TASO will bring treatments directly to our compound once a week and provide any additional assistance necessary.
