Intern Spotlight: Meet Kristen!

Hey guys, I’m Kristen. I go to Arizona as Communications major, but I grew up here in Orange County. There isn’t much I love more than the beach and its sunsets, but sushi is a close second. I’ve never met a puppy I didn’t like and I love to read… I could literally spend hours in a bookstore. I feel so blessed to have the most loving and supportive friends and family who mean the world to me. Working at 31 Bits has already been the most rewarding and inspiring experience and I can’t wait to see what else this summer will bring!

Meet the Designer: Fibi

Fibi is a firecracker. She is young and sassy with a lot of attitude. She has much responsibility for being so young and is very grateful for the money she is earning from 31 Bits that allows her to take care of 3 young children. She was forced to quit school at a young age to take care of her sister’s children after her sister’s death and she now has a daughter of her own to provide for as well. Her young daughter is often sick and a big portion of her pay goes toward medical care. Because Fibi is so young and has been on her own for some time, she has never really learned how to be a mom. It’s easy to see that this environment is just what she needs as she is surrounded by great mothers and inspiring women. She is constantly growing and improving the life of her child and herself.

Meet the Designer: Christine

Christine has been a part of 31 Bits for a long time and will be among the first group to graduate our program at the end of 2012. She has excelled in making some of the more difficult designs and is proud of her accomplishments. Her husband works as a driver but does not make very much money. The two of them are working hard to put their children, ages 9 and 13, through school. Christine is hopeful that she will soon have enough money to build a house so that her family can stop renting. Since she will be concluding her time with 31 Bits within the next 2 years, she is busy planning for the future by saving money and taking diligent notes in her business development classes. Christine will be a great businesswoman and we are so excited to see what endeavor she will choose to begin innext stage of her life.

Seed Trunk Show
