Shauna’s wisdom, creativity, and witty humor is not only captivating, but inspiring. We asked Shauna where she finds her inspiration, and her answer was, “In the ordinary moments of daily life: the sounds of a friend’s laughter, a line from a song, the damp & dirty smell of spring, the color of blackberries, my baby’s feet.” Her love for adventure and joyful approach to life has made Shauna a desired author, speaker, and Pinterest sensation. Domestic violence is a rampant problem in Northern Uganda. 31Bits has been spending the month of March focusing our trainings, education, and counseling in the area of domestic violence.
This morning we had guests from a local NGO come to the compound to educate the ladies on how to prevent and deal with domestic based violence. We had a local attorney teach the ladies their rights as women and legal steps they can take when dealing with violence.
